“V100”
Marble vase
Puebla, México, 2011
180x300x80 mm.
Luxury is an abstract concept, created and maimed by society. It goes further than the price of an object or
the material it’s made from.
“V100” satirizes luxury with a limited and numbered edition, composed by 100 first quality recycled marble.
It remarks the manufacture process, the aesthetic values and the material, as well as the feeling of being
one of the 100 owners that will be able to have it, to create this luxury concept.
Marble is extracted from the Puebla quarries, in México and belongs to the ends of the perforated plates,
called “costeras”, usually crushed or wasted.
Both the aesthetic and the conceptual values field as a brutalist approach, referring to the art Póvera.
A unique piece that claims the true luxury of design.
